Share clipboard between devices
Move text, links, code, images, and files between your phone, laptop, and tablet in seconds. No app to install. No account required. Open the same URL on two or more devices and paste.
How it works
1Open pastio.app on the first device. You'll land in an anonymous room with a short code (something like pastio.app/r/k4n9).
2Open the same URL on your second device — type the code, scan the QR, or just paste the link. Both devices are now joined to the same room.
3Paste anything on one device. It appears on the other in real time. Text, code blocks, URLs, screenshots, formatted text — whatever's on your clipboard.
Anonymous rooms, no login
The default flow needs no account at all. You open the URL, you get a room, you paste. Rooms auto-delete after 1 hour (or 24 hours if you choose). Whoever has the link can join, and nobody else can see what's inside.
This is the right mode for one-off transfers — moving a screenshot from your phone to your laptop, pulling a code snippet from a colleague's machine, sharing a link with someone sitting next to you.
Personal Sync — your clipboard follows you
If you want the same clipboard to live across your own devices for longer, sign in (anonymous or with email) and turn on Personal Sync. Your phone, laptop, and tablet share one private clip feed that persists for 24 hours on Free or 7 days on Pro.
No more emailing yourself links. No more WhatsApp self-chat. The thing you copied on your phone is on your laptop the moment you sit down.
What you can send
- Plain text — notes, addresses, codes
- Code blocks — preserves formatting and syntax
- URLs — auto-detected with preview
- Rich text — copied formatting survives the trip
- Images and screenshots — up to 10MB on Free, 50MB on Pro
- Files (Pro) — PDF, ZIP, CSV, and more
Auto-delete, no tracking
Anonymous rooms expire automatically. Personal Sync clips clear after their retention window. We don't run ads. We don't sell data. We don't load third-party trackers. The only analytics we use are privacy-preserving and self-hosted.
Pro adds password-protected rooms — useful for sharing inside a team where the room code alone isn't enough.
Common situations Pastio handles well
- Sending a screenshot from your phone to your laptop without AirDrop
- Moving a long URL between a work computer and personal phone
- Sharing a code snippet during a pair-programming session
- Getting a one-time password from a phone SMS onto a desktop browser
- Sending a PDF to someone in the same meeting without email
- Replacing the WhatsApp "self chat" workflow with something built for this
Frequently asked
Does it work between iPhone and Windows? Android and Mac?
Yes. Pastio runs in any modern browser. The OS or vendor doesn't matter — that's the whole point.
Do both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi?
No. Sync runs over the internet, not the local network. The devices can be on different networks, in different cities, on different ISPs.
Is there a size limit on what I can paste?
Text is uncapped for practical purposes. Images are 10MB on Free, 50MB on Pro. Files (Pro) are 50MB each.
What happens if I close the tab?
Anonymous room clips stay until the room auto-expires. Personal Sync clips stay for your retention window (24h Free, 7d Pro) and are there when you come back.
Is there a desktop or mobile app?
No, and that's intentional. The browser is the only thing every device already has. Install nothing, sign nothing, get on with it. See pricing if you want longer retention or file uploads.
